Overview of 2004 / 05 Season

After relegation previous year the 3rds rolled the sleeves up and bounced back to Div 4 with a change at the helm with Uli Brell as captain and Brian Tubbert as Coach they led the league from start to finish.
Given the playing resources at their disposal they will be dissappointed that they did not wrap the title up with a bit to spare and instead had to travel to Rovers in the last day of the year to win the title.
The Stew O'Higgins route one short corner strike proved unstoppable all year and when under the cosh defensively ex UCD stalwart Ronan Hickey showed why he was a close contender for player of the year. That accolade went to Stephen Dwyer who was consistent throughout and will be a key player when they step up a division next year.
