Overview of 2004 / 05 season
A solid year for the sixths who ended the year in 4th place in the league with 9 wins, 2 draws and 9 defeats in their 20 games. Barry Ryan skippered the side very efficiently in what was the most successful league finish in recent years.
Sam Cromie was the top goal scorer for the team and togther with John Maguire and Joe Mooney featured in the running for player of the year but in the end the accolade went to Maurice Prendeville.
Special mention to young Peter Ryan who donned the pads and performed admirably in his first season showing great improvement during the year.
One of the highlights of the year was their closely fought cup win over the sevenths in the dubbed "Battle of Park Avenue" !
