5s vs Alex 2nd Dec 06

We had a decent start to the league, remaining undefeated and at the top of the league at Christmas despite a number of draws and points dropped. We were determined not to repeat last season by drawing too many games in the second half of the season and missing out on promotion. With only 4 points dropped since Christmas (1 loss and 1 draw) we deservedly sit in 2nd position in the table with 1 game to go, especially as we beat our nearest rivals for 2nd place, Newbridge, 4-0 recently. Our final game v Bray on Saturday 31st will decide our overall league position and (fingers crossed) promotion to Division 10. We need only one point to secure promotion.

Unfortunately, the cup was not to be this year and we had to pass our title on to Alex who were also deserved league winners in our division.  Many thanks to Ros, Jonty, Hilary, Zoe and Kamani for all their support (and goals) this season and of course to Boz, who even gave up the Ireland/France Six nations game to coach us!
