Season Review 2004-05
Written by Ladies Admin

This was a fantastic year for the 5ths, only conceding two games all season and winning a very competitive league.

Captains:     Cara O'Shea & Annette Hannon
Coach:   Colin Manly (AKA Boz)
Top Goal Scorer:     Emer McStay (11 goals)
Player of the Year:     Michelle Slevin
League Played:     Division 12 Final League
Position:     1st Place

We benefited from some great new players Michelle Slevin, Aine Morrissey and Louise Cassidy who brought real enthusiasm and determination to the team. Despite much change at the start of the year and numerous goalies, we gelled as a team and it was this team spirit and drive that helped us win the league, and have fun in the process. Our top goal scorer was Emer McStay with 11 goals and the player of the year was Michelle Slevin, a new player with huge drive and determination to succeed. This was our second year in the club and the difference in the team was outstanding. Much of this was due to the direction and support from Boz who came to almost every game and encouraged each team member to play their best. A special thanks also to our top goalie - Rochie, hopefully we'll hold on to her for next year.
