The Rose of Railway

niamh_photoYOUR CHANCE TO BE AN HONORARY CORKONIAN FOR A NIGHT IN AUGUST   

THE TERRIFIC TALENT ON THE TREMENDOUS THIRDS KNOWS NO BOUNDS! NIAMH O’HANLON has been selected to represent Cork at the prestigious Rose of Tralee Festival which takes place during the last week in August. 

Three things I bet you did not know about our Niamh :- 

1.       She had voice training and won 1st prize in the Feis Maitiu in singing, flute & poetry sections

2.       Niamh is fluent in German

3.       She is a mentor for Warrenmount school children through her work with Anglo Irish Bank  

The Rose Of Tralee competition will be televised on RTE on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th August – stay tuned to find out later which night you will see Niamh

 

 
Men's Training Times

Please note that as of now pre season training will change from its previous format of Mondays and Wednesdays to the new set up of Tuesdays and Thursdays. The training times will be as follows:
 
Tues:    18.30 - 21.00
Thurs:   19.00 - 21.30

The season commences for each team on the following dates:
 
1st XI    13/09/08         v         Dublin University (H)                 Neville Cup
2nd XI   27/09/08         v         Three Rock Rovers 2nds (A)       League
3rd XI    13/09/08        v         Pembroke Wanderers 3rds (H)    League
4th XI    27/09/08        v          Bray 2nds (A)                           League
5th XI    tbc

John Keane our fitness coach is back with a vengeance starting on Monday 28th July.

All Club members are welcome and 1sts and 2nds must attend, meet in Railway 10 mins before start of session.
