Railway Union beat HC Pliva Lipovci (SLO) today 4-3.  This result meantbudapest5 that Railway Union came top of Pool D and avoided relegation. This game was a hard fought game. Railway were 2-1 down at half-time. Scorers were Paul O’Brien (19 min), Brendan Parsons (37 min), Gerard Dooley (37 min) and Filip Jaros (41 min). Lipovci had scored in the 4th, 12th and 24th min so it as an incredible fight back from the Railway Union team. Swansea Bay and HC Pliva Lipovci were relegated.

Railway Union’s overall performance was excellent considering the strength and depth of experience of the other teams in the competition.  Also, Railway Union would not have had played at this level of hockey on a regular basis. A great performance by the team!!
